COVID-19 polices
After what feels like a lifetime for us and many of our guests, we are delighted to be able to welcome you back from the 17th of May onwards. To be able to do this in the safest way, we have introduced extra policies which can be found below. Please take a few minutes to read the supplementary polices before your arrival date at Diamond Lodge.
What will we do to keep you safe?
Put simply, we want to do everything within our power to keep our staff and guests safe. We will be doing this by -
- Asking that all guests and staff wear face masks/visors in line with government guidelines
- Asking that all guests and staff follow social distancing guidelines
- Ensuring that hand sanitizer is provided throughout
- Ensuring that employees are sanitizing their hands continuously throughout the day
- Following a strict and comprehensive cleaning schedule which emphasises the high touch points (E.g. Door handles, handrails and bannisters, remote controls, light switches etc)
- All hard surfaces are thoroughly disinfected before and after each breakfast service.
- Guest bedrooms are meticulously cleaned and sanitized between guests
Diamond lodge has been accredited by the Visit England 'We're Good to Go' scheme which recognises the cleaning practices and social distancing guidelines we have in place for Covid-19.
What do we ask of you?
Please DO NOT travel if you have experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the previous 14 days. If this is the case, please follow government guidance and contact us regarding your booking.
If you feel ill at any point during your stay, please let us know immediately. We can then take appropriate action to make sure you are looked after and ensure the safety of our other guests and staff.
Pre-arrival
We will be contacting all of our guests 1 week before arrival to ask for an approximate arrival time. This is to avoid congestion during check-in and allow us to manage arrival times to maintain social distancing guidelines.
We do appreciate that plans can change and guests may be early or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, we kindly as that guests please call on the day to inform us of any change and allow us to manage the situation accordingly.
During your stay
Breakfast – Upon check in, we will be asking you for an arrival time into the breakfast room. We will be dividing our breakfast sitting times into 2 groups – between 08:00 and 09:00 and 09:00 and 10:00.
We will also be asking guests to pre-order their cooked breakfast by 9pm the night before. You will find breakfast pre-order forms in your bedroom each day, and we ask that guests leave them in the dedicated area in reception by 9pm.
We do appreciate that this differs considerably from the norm – however it is essential that we are able to manage our dining room to maintain social distancing.
Housekeeping – If you do not wish for a member of staff to enter your room during your stay to carry out the daily cleaning – please let us know when you arrive.

All bookings made directly will receive the COVID-19 rebook or refund guarantee. If you are legally unable to travel for your holiday due to lockdown or tiered restrictions, we will happily re-book or refund your holiday. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
